I thought that the Aldeburgh negatives had been lost. Glad to know thay were not. I’d be happy to have a print of the one shown on your website: Kurt Hutton with camera 7″x5″ or thereabouts.
KH was my father, and you may wonder at the difference in our names. His passport and his Press Card (both of which I have) give his name as Kurt Hutten. I think that the credit stamp “Credit Kurt Hutton” got it wrong and the name stuck. If you find Kurt Hutten on the web, that would be his greatgrandson.
    Kind regards
    Peter Hutten

    Dear Stefano

I worked on Red Weekly and Socialist Challenge in the 1970s. I am interested to find out if the Report/IFL archive is available to research from. What happened to it after IFL closed?

      Hi Stephen

As I say on my personal website, the archive is safely stored and I’m working on it slowly and trying to scan in a cross section of the vast amount of material there that accurately reflects what lies there is in its entirety. Once that is done – and it is a long process – it is hoped to use the scanned photos from the archive to try to get funding so that the whole library, Report & I.F.L, may once again become an accessible resource.
In the meantime, if there is anything in particular that you require for your research purposes, let me know and if possible I can trace it for you. Stefano
